We stayed for only 3.5 days in January 2024 spending all time at the resort. We are two 30 year olds without children. Our main reason for going here was the wildlife and jungle setting with on-site activities. Overall we had a very positive experience of the resort. We stayed in a Signature Eco Superior room, non-RE and non-Select club. Beautiful, new and spacious room. Great bed and shower. We loved the water dispenser and there were always fresh towels. Unnecessarily large TV. Lovely terrace in the shades surrounded by trees for having a drink or snack. We were next to the deer pen under construction but this did not bother us. For checking-in we were helped pretty much instantaneously and transported to our room by golf cart. We managed to get a reservation for El Templo and the others days we had food at the international and Mexican buffets as well as lunch at the Brazilian. There is abundant food and it is quite diverse, it should be possible to eat something else every day. Personally I liked the fruits and desserts best. I do agree with a lot of reasonable reviewers on the web that the food in general is not distasteful but there is something bland about it? Please note we have frequented street food markets in China, Sri Lanka and Suriname and are not picky eaters. I can fully understand you would eat some days outside of the resort if you're staying here for two weeks or longer. As a side note we never waited more than five minutes for any drink or buffet. We ordered room service a single time for a club sandwich which was delicious. The cocktail experience was hit or miss, I loved the Riviera Maya and Dirty Monkey, but with my last drink I felt like just eating ice cubes with no flavour. All staff we met were super friendly and helpful. Amazing jungle setting with several cenotes, lush trees and flowers and a hanging bridge. As a bonus there are pretty Maya ruins.

Thom

I really liked the closeness to the jungle and the unique layout with cenotes, pools, numerous water slides & beach all available. It was easy to get around once you got familiar with signage placed in several spots. The pools were large and the swim-up bar was a hit with the kids & adults. We saw animals & birds daily, and the zoo was also a place of interest. We never left the resort area other than beach walks. The Japanese & Italian restaurant were awesome and we booked them first, the buffet had excellent choices as well. The jacuzzi tub in room was also a hit! Our group didn’t mind the rocky beach and built dams in the sand.

Sandra

The Waterpark definetely is incredible, as well as the jungle feeling that you can live at your stay. all the animals that you can see is amazing. You should be sure to find a way to isolate the doors completely, as we had en encounter with a giant spider and cockroach in the room. The room was nice and comfortable. The food was always good, but the personal does not seem very motivated or friendly. Please also do something to save your beach, we were not able to get into the water because of the dirt.

Diana

The location is super fun. It’s in the jungle and on the beach. Lots of paths you can bike on, some small Mayan ruins, pools and some fun water slides. The staff are all very friendly. Lots of guests from Canada, France, and USA. Our room was nice and comfortable and there’s water dispensers in the room. They all have patios or balconies. We really enjoyed the fire show and the cenote show.

Lisa

I loved the eco friendly aspects of the resort. Very limited waste, the cups you receive were reusable with lots of buckets to return them to through out the resort. I liked there were options to compost next to the trash cans. Although i would recommend more recycling bins for the cans complimentary to our rooms.
